Proposed So. Cal. Speedskating + Facility

The United States Athletic Training Center (USATC) is proud to announce it's plans for a new and exciting Training Center for In-line Skating, Roller Hockey and Cycling aimed towards use by Olympic level athletes. In conjunction with the City of Tehachapi, the USATC has designed plans for a custom sports complex which will be located in the Capital Hills Center, Tehachapi, CA. The first phase of this multi-use facility will be an outdoor road course and subsequent phases will include a velodrome and skating arena.

The project will be financed by corporate funds, public and private grants, private contributions and in-kind labor donations. Your support is important, needed and appreciated as both advocates and for funding. An estimated $5million is required.

Donald A. Lovato brings thirty years of experience as a coach and manager. He began in 1956 as a little league baseball coach/manager. Switching to speed skating in 1973, as a coach and president of the Skateen Speed Skating Club, Mr. Lovato has trained many national speed and hockey athletes. With many United States National Championship placements. Mr. Lovato was instrumental in introducing Inline Speed Skating on the local and national level. Mr. Lovato has trained Ultra Marathon Skater Jonethan Sueter who holds title to six world titles.
